Friday Flash Reviews are abridged reviews of new or exciting products for your end-of-week reading.
It’s no secret that I’ve got beef with the Keebler Elves. They’re terrible at social media, as I’ve shared in past reviews like Little Debbie Emoji Brownies and that time I ate a raw pumpkin. Also, their tree doesn’t react to the seasons at all. They say it’s magic, I say it’s shady. I don’t like the Keebler Elves, and I don’t trust them.
The Elves’ latest attempt to win me over comes in the form of Keebler Limited Batch Peppermint Fudge Stripes. These have the same crunchy, buttery, shortbread-style cookie as all other Fudge Stripes varieties, but with red crystals scattered throughout. It’s hard to tell whether those crystals actually provide any mint flavor, but they provide a nice textural similarity to peppermint candy.
The frosting seems to contain most of the peppermint taste, which is rather mild and eventually gives way to some vanilla. Overall, although I thought the peppermint flavor could have been stronger, I enjoyed Keebler Limited Batch Peppermint Fudge Stripes. The Elves might actually be starting to win me over.
