[Friday Flash Review] Nabisco Limited Edition Hot Cocoa Chewy Chips Ahoy! Cookies

Friday Flash Reviews are abridged reviews of new or exciting products for your end-of-week reading.

Did you know that chocolate can help you lose weight? It’s true, the Internet says so. If I’m going to adhere to this new weight loss regimen, I need to consume as much chocolate as possible. From now on, I’m only drinking hot chocolate for hydration. Hmm…I guess I should probably eat something, too. I’ve got it! My meals will consist solely of Nabisco Limited Edition Hot Cocoa Chewy Chips Ahoy! cookies. Perfect. I’ll be slim and trim in no time!

Similar to S’mores Chips Ahoy! cookies, the packaging of Hot Cocoa Chewy Chips Ahoy! cookies suggests that you heat the cookies for a treat. Your enjoyment of them will depend on whether you follow that suggestion. Eaten cold, the cookie’s chocolate flavor is rich, almost like brownie batter, but the flavor is just chocolate without any semblance of the marshmallow and white chocolate chips.

But when warmed in the microwave for 10 seconds, the filling’s grainy texture softens and melts into the cookie. The chocolate flavor subsides a bit too, allowing the creamy sweetness of the marshmallow and white chocolate chips to emerge. Overall, these do a pretty good job of capturing the flavor of hot cocoa, and as an added bonus, you’ll have a killer bod after eating a few packages.
