This Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday–one of the biggest junk food days of the year. Football fans across the country will spend the unofficial holiday sitting around all day and inhaling thousands of calories, otherwise known as a typical Sunday for me. This year, though, I’m really going to try to be smart about my calorie intake. Let’s see: I could eat one fried chicken wing at 100 calories, or I could eat eleven Blazin’ Buffalo & Ranch Doritos for just 50 more calories. Or…I could eat a few bags of Blazin’ Buffalo & Ranch Doritos, gain a bunch of weight, and become a professional defensive lineman in the National Football League. Foolproof!
Blazin’ Buffalo & Ranch Doritos vary in appearance, with some completely covered in bright red seasoning, and others looking much more like a plain tortilla chip. That contrast in seasoning will directly affect your enjoyment of these Doritos. The chips that are loaded with seasoning have a huge cayenne pepper kick, but provide little more than that overwhelming heat. On the other hand, the less seasoned chips aren’t nearly as spicy, which allows a tangy, creamy ranch flavor to come through. Blazin’ Buffalo & Ranch Doritos are actually a decent chip when you’re able to get the right balance of flavors, but this Super Bowl Sunday, you’re better off with a plate of wings.
