I love Olive Garden. Maybe not as much as the old lady who reviewed it like a five-star restaurant, but I love Olive Garden. If you’re a regular patron like me, there are two things you look forward to during your meal: 1) the never-ending breadsticks, and 2) the post-dinner Andes mint that freshens your breath and helps you forget about how much pasta you just ate. Well move over, Andes mints–there’s a new sheriff in town.
Milka Mint Oreo Chocolate Candy Bar follows the Big Crunch Bar and original Chocolate Candy Bar. The mint flavor comes through immediately in the first bite. It’s a cooler mint that stands out, but doesn’t overtake any of the other flavors. The smooth, rich milk chocolate coating comes through perfectly, and I think the Oreo cookie-to-cream filling ratio works better here compared to the original Chocolate Candy Bar because of the added complexity from the mint. The balance is impeccable, and these accomplish the chocolate/cookie/mint combination much better than Hershey’s Cookie Layer Crunch bars. I’ve got to say, I can’t find a single complaint about Milka Mint Oreo Chocolate Candy Bars…
…other than the fact that Olive Garden doesn’t hand them out for free.
