[Friday Flash Review] Hostess Brownies made with Butterfinger

Friday Flash Reviews are abridged reviews of new or exciting products for your end-of-week reading.

Do you ever get bored and look up definitions of words in the dictionary? Here’s one I just found:

Butterfingers (noun)

  1. crispety, crunchety, peanut buttery candy bars
  2. a clumsy person, such as former New York Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez

Wow, Webster’s Dictionary has gifs now! We can’t see Mark’s face very well in the clip, but you can imagine what’s going through his head as his face collides into his teammate’s buttocks. “Ugh…that Snack Cellar guy is gonna make fun of me for this someday.

Hostess Brownies made with Buttfumble Butterfinger feature a chocolate brownie with a chocolate coating and topped with Butterfinger candy pieces. Here’s the thing: there’s not very much “Butterfinger” in Hostess Brownies made with Butterfinger. The chocolate elements completely overpower any peanut butter flavor. The sticky chew of the topping does remind me of a Butterfinger candy bar, but the dry brownie ruins the texture overall. At the end of the day, these Hostess Brownies made with Butterfinger are as much of a letdown as ol’ Buttfumble Mark Sanchez up there.
